Darren Drobiak
Darren has been with Erik’s Design-Build for over 7 years now. He has worked his way to become the lead designer and office manager for the company during that time.
Darren obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Central Connecticut State University and is also designated a Certified Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders. He serves on the Housing Committee for the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors and is an active member of the Builder's Association of Eastern CT. Currently, Darren is working on becoming a Certified Aging in Place Specialist which is a designation from the NAHB that involves the designing and building of additions, renovations and new homes to meet the lifestyle needs and requirements of the active adult and baby boomer demographic.
Aside from spending time with his son Jayden, Darren likes to golf, fish, play softball and basketball, snowboarding and loves music.
A sports enthusiast, Darren coached the Jewett City American Legion team to its first division title and state playoff appearance in the program's history. It's with this experience in particular that Darren learned what successful management skills are needed to make people all work together to achieve the same goal and has applied those skills to business. "In sports, you look at the teams that have won championships and the common element is everyone knew their role and performed it exceptionally. The same applies to our company. There are many different aspects involved in building a new home or commercial building or an addition/remodel. Knowing what each team member brings to the table and utilizing those skills to the fullest potential is the key to our success."
